Teen Center
  • 81 teens were active in Teen Center activities at the high school level.
  • 36 youth attended our Middle School After School Program.
  • 20 teens volunteered for leadership roles on Newport County Youth Council.
  • 9 teens traveled to Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, New Jersey and New York on our annual Spring College Tour.
  • 8 teens participated in our Youth in Prevention Retreat, co-sponsored by the Women's Resource Center of Newport and Bristol Counties and Youth Pride, Inc.

13 teens planned and facilitated the first annual Newport County Basketball Tournament to raise money and awareness for families affected by Hurricane Katrina.

14 teens participated in the Holiday Food Drive and collected 667 items.

Teens performed more than 242 hours of community service.

Our high outcomes for graduates continue, with a 100% on-time High School graduation rate and a 90% college enrollment rate (5-year rolling average) for students participating once a week or more.

A source of homework help, tutoring and mentoring, and educational, social and recreational activities, field trips and guest speakers.

Centered on the principals of Scholarship, Leadership, and Citizenship, the Teen Center has two computer labs and a game room, and serves middle school and high school students during after school, evening, and weekend hours
