The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center is a true community gathering place, welcoming over 1000 community groups, civic and business group meetings, and family parties and events every year. The Center is completely wheelchair-accessible, is fully sprinklered, and exceeds all RI safety requirements for public meeting space.

We have three community spaces open for use

The Warren Weston Room
On the Center’s 2nd floor, this room has capacity for 75-125 people depending upon seating and layout, and can be configured to meet many needs. The Weston Room is named for the director of the Center from 1975 to 1986, and has hosted such diverse events as corporate meetings, storytelling and dramatic performances, and holiday and family parties.
The Weston room is available for day and evening scheduling during the week, and has limited availability on weekends.

The Marcia Farrar Room
On the Center’s 1st floor, this room is family-friendly and has a capacity of 125-200 people depending upon seating and layout. The Marcia Farrar room was named for the Center’s director from 19xx to 19xx.
The room is available after 6:00 pm during the week and has limited availability on weekends.

The Senior Room
On the Center’s 1st floor, this room has been home to meetings of the Center’s older adults groups for decades, which is where it gets its name. Our smallest meeting room, the Senior room has a capacity of 20-50 people depending upon seating and layout.
This room is available for day, evening, and limited weekend scheduling.
